MPG DIGITAL FILE SUBMISSION CHECKLIST
Use our checklist to determine which file and method to use when delivering your source content to us.
FILE SUBMISSION
We can accept files on optical media such as CD or DVD or via FTP and email. Please limit files sent by e-mail to 5 MB. Also when using either email or FTP, please use a compression utility such as Stuffit or Winzip to compress your files into a single archive.
SUPPORTED APPLICATIONS
Native application support is listed below. If your file is created in an unsupported program, we can accept either a postscript (.ps or .eps) or PDF file created from the native application. In the event that your native application is not listed below, please contact us for more information.
Supported Native File Formats:
- Adobe Indesign CS3 and earlier
- Adobe Illustrator CS3 and earlier
- Adobe Photoshop CS3 and earlier
- Adobe Acrobat 9.0 and earlier
- Adobe/Macromedia Freehand MX and earlier
- Quark Xpress 7.x and earlier
- Microsoft Publisher 2003
Note: The use of Powerpoint, Word or other "Office" type of applications is not recommended as these applications were not designed for high resolution print reproduction and can produce poor and/or unpredictable results.
FONTS & GRAPHICS
All fonts (printer and screen) used within your document (including linked graphics) and all linked graphics/images used within your document should be supplied with your job. TrueType, OpenType, and Type 1 fonts are all acceptable.
IMAGES
Please provide photographs and halftones in EPS, TIFF, CT, or PSD formats and in either CMYK or grayscale color spaces. Images supplied in the RGB colorspace are subject to CMYK conversion therefore color shifts may occur. PICT files or Word Metafiles are not acceptable for high resolution printing.
LASERS OR LO-RES PDFS FOR REFERENCE
Please supply a set of lasers or lo-res PDFs that represent your file at 100% of actual size as reference to how the final product should appear.
